New American Aberdeen Genetics for a new direction on the Farm.

We are excited to add a new bull to our breeding program. I purchased a Full Blood American Aberdeen bull and have put him in with the ladies. We are breeding him to four Purebred American Aberdeen cows and all of my Dexter cows. I am excited to see growth rates and marbling comparisons to the Pure Dexter Steers in upcoming F1 Cross bred steers as well as Purebred Steers in the coming offspring. I plan to evaluate carcass traits at the processor and take pictures as well as noting the difference to adjust my breeding program accordingly. I want to get the most out of our efforts in raising a grass-based herd and maximize marbling and taste.
